Refund Policy
Last Updated: June 2026
1. Overview
Grievyn provides digital memorial pages, free features, and paid Yearly or Lifetime upgrades that unlock additional storage, privacy controls, themes, audio tributes, invitations, and related memorial tools. Because paid features are digital and may be available immediately after purchase, refunds are handled under the rules below and any additional rights required by applicable law.
2. No Physical Returns
Grievyn does not sell physical goods through its memorial plans, so there is no physical return process. Requests about paid digital upgrades are handled as refund requests under this Refund Policy.
3. When Refunds May Be Available
We may approve a refund when a purchase was accidental, duplicated, charged in error, made for the wrong memorial, or when a paid feature you purchased is materially unavailable and we cannot provide a reasonable fix. Refunds may also be provided where required by applicable law. We may ask for information needed to locate the transaction and verify account, memorial, or payer authority.
4. Refund Windows
For Yearly and Lifetime upgrades, refund requests should be made within 14 days of purchase. After this window, payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law, where there is a confirmed duplicate or payment error, or where Grievyn has failed to provide the paid service after a reasonable chance to resolve the issue.
5. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds are generally not available for free plans, ordinary changes of mind after the refund window, unused time on an active paid period, account or memorial deletion requested by you, loss of access caused by a violation of our Terms, content removal required for safety or legal reasons, third-party payment fees or taxes that cannot be recovered, or custom support work that has already been completed.
6. Cancellations and Plan Changes
If recurring billing is offered for a Yearly plan, cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically refund past charges. Downgrading or changing a memorial plan may limit access to paid features at the end of the paid period or as described during checkout. Lifetime upgrades are one-time purchases intended to provide continued access to eligible paid features for that memorial and are refundable only under the refund window and eligibility rules above.
7. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, contact us through the Contact page on Grievyn and include the email address used for the purchase, the memorial name or link, the payment provider if known, the transaction date, and a short explanation of the issue. Refund requests must come from the account owner, memorial owner or admin, authorized payer, or another person we can reasonably verify as authorized.
8. Processing Approved Refunds
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method when possible. Processing times depend on the payment provider, card network, bank, and country, and may take several business days after approval. If a refund is approved, Grievyn may downgrade the memorial, remove paid-only features, reduce media limits, disable private or custom settings that are no longer included, or otherwise adjust access to reflect the refunded plan.
9. Policy Changes
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our plans, payment providers, legal requirements, or business practices. Updates apply prospectively unless a different approach is required by law.
